Our first independent film from the Mara series is now complete.

Mara: The Seal Wife is a short film inspired by Selkie Folklore and set in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

Thank you to the Sipontum Arthouse International Film Festival for recognising and awarding our film in the February edition of your festival! Congrats to Sarah Pritchard for Best Actress, Jason Weidner for Best Cinematography, Heather Andrews and Stewart Simpson for Best Sound Design!

Our film is mentioned in the festival blog and will screened on March 4th.

We are delighted to have our film along with our awesome score shortlisted in the upcoming MiraBan UK Film Awards!

Writer/director Uisdean Murray along with composer Philip Smith were interviewed by the team behind the festival recently. Despite some sound issues near the start it we had a great time with some very interesting questions.

We won Best Short Film at the Sea of Art a new monthly international film festival focused on art house cinema and based in Moscow. Our film also won Best Score and and was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Editor at the Long Story Shorts, a monthly international film festival based in Bucharest,

Mara: The Seal Wife has been selected for the exciting new Vanilla Palm Film Festival & Art Competition in Bakersfield, California in May 2022. Also our lead actress Sarah Pritchard has also received a Best Actress nomination!
